the long goodbye 50 word film review

Marlowe inadvertently helps a friend flee after his wife’s murder, then helps a women find her alcoholic husband. Revisionist take on Chandler, with Marlowe a loser exploited by gangsters and the rich. An interesting idea with striking scenes, but keeps characters at such a distance it’s difficult connecting with them.
