The General

October 6th 2010 20:43
(1927) Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Glen Cavender, Jim Farley. Dir: Clyde Bruckman, Buster Keaton
Review No.160

Train engineer Buster travels across the border to save his train and his girl who have been kidnapped by Union spies. Absolutely terrific, immaculately timed comedy, with great gags and superb stunt work that few would dare try today. Probably one of the funniest films ever made.
