The Devil-Doll

May 6th 2010 22:18
(1936): Lionel Barrymore, Maureen O’Sullivan, Frank Lewton, Robert Grieg. Dir: Tod Browning.

Convict escapes prison and comes across a method of shrinking people into tiny zombies he can control and then sets them on those who framed him. Could’ve been delicious fun but the premise is spoilt by a dragging plot and by making the lead too noble. Effects stand up well.
