Team America World Police

I only remember walking out of a movie theatre once with uncontrollable laughter. The movie that did this to me was Team America: World Police. Team America: World Police came out in October 2004 and featured a cast of puppets. The film, a product of Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the creators of the TV series South Park), was crude and politically incorrect but absolutely hilarious.
The humor is defiantly for a mature audience- from Team America’s theme song “America Fuck Yeah” to the issue of trust being boiled down to one man giving another man a blow job. One scene, I like to call “Puppet Porn” features two puppets having sex in a bunch of different sexual positions. The climax of Team America: World Police involves a speech about how there are three kinds of people in the world- dicks, pussies, and assholes. To say the least, Team America: World Police is not for children.
Team America: World Police isn’t just dumb, dirty humor with no direction though. Like in the TV show South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are sharing their opinions on what was going on in the news. The refreshing part is the film isn’t just attacking the conservatives or just attacking the liberals. Nope, everyone is fair game to Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The George Bush administration (via Team America), Michael Moore, Alex Baldwin, and Matt Damon are amongst the people Parker and Stone take a shot at in Team America: World Police. Although the movie is nearly five years old now I would still recommend Team America: World Police to anyone who can appreciate crude and politically incorrect humor.
