Stage Fright
December 4th 2012 23:38
(1950) Marlene Dietrich, Jane Wyman, Richard Todd, Michael Wilding, Alastair Sim, Sybil Thorndike. Dir: Alfred Hitchcock.
A young actress protects a man who is framed for the murder of a starlets husband. The controversial flashback is less offensive to today’s audience, but this is still a lesser Hitch thriller. Plot is rather slight and neither Wyman or Todd seems to have Hitchcock’s interest. Has its moments.
