Son of Dracula

(1943) Lon Chaney Jnr, Louise Allbritton, Robert Page, Evelyn Ankers. Dir: Robert Siodmak.
The Count comes to Southern America on the invite of an occult romanticist. Chaney is rubbish and the direction is hit and miss. But there’s great promise in the script, with some strong twists and a female lead who’s not such a victim. If only better men had made it.
