J Edgar 50 Word Film Review

Biopic of Hoover, his rise and years in power, and his complicated personal relationships. Has material for several films, yet despite 137 min running time, leaves many facets undeveloped. Eastwood doesn’t seem to know what he’s trying to say about Hoover and his legacy. But retains interest and DeCaprio’s convincing.
