House of Frankenstein
June 14th 2011 21:37
(1944) Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Jnr., J. Carroll Naish, John Carradine, Anne Gynne. Dir: Erle C. Kenton.
After encountering Dracula, a mad scientist visits Frankenstein’s castle where he meets the monster and Wolf-Man. Doesn’t offer the all-monster scrap promised, and keeps the fiends separated. This makes for a more coherent narrative, but it’s all too familiar. It’s pleasant, but far from one of the classics.
