Dracula: Prince of Darkness

August 9th 2011 19:08
(1966) Christopher Lee, Barbara Shelley, Andrew Keir, Francis Matthews. Dir: Terence Fisher.
Review No.371

Tourists are lured to castle Dracula where their blood is used to revive the count. Characters are one dimensional, it takes a bit too long building the tension and then the action goes down the familiar Renfield route. But it’s reasonably entertaining and Kier is a good stand-in for Cushing.
