Day of the Dead
June 23rd 2011 20:23
(1985) Lori Cardille, Terry Alexander, Joseph Pilato, Richard Liberty. Dir: George A. Romero.
Post zombie apocalypse, relations between scientists and soldiers in a bunker reach boiling point. Romero’s 3rd zombie pic shows mankind still unable to put aside its differences even at world’s end. It’s talky, with variable performances that don’t always make convincing the apparent mania. Idea is better than the execution.
