Bride of the Monster
March 13th 2011 21:17
(1955) Bela Lugosi, Tor Johnson, Tony McCoy, Loretta King. Dir: Edward D. Wood, Jnr.
A mad scientist tries to create atomic supermen, while his giant octopus picks off trespassers. Fairly lucid by Ed Wood’s standard, but still has the usual traits of oblivious incompetence – bad continuity, terrible editing, ridiculous dialogue and rubbish effects. At least Lugosi gets a good speech. Best watched while inebriated.
