Amarcord

May 24th 2010 23:06
(1973) Magali Noel, Bruno Zanin, Pupella Maggio, Armando Brancia. Dir: Frederico Fellini.

Translates as “I Remember” – a nostalgic look back at growing up in a small Italian town in the 1930s. A poignant piece of charming nostalgia, full of funny, resonant vignettes, with the occasional touch of turmoil and angst. But a tad too long, the final half hour seems rather aimless.
