Definitely, Maybe

This film was directed and written by Adam Brooks who also is responsible for writing most notably in my mind Practical Magic way back in 1998. He is of Canadian descent coming from Toronto, Ontario. So the match up of him and fellow CAN Ryan Reynolds was a no-brainer.
This movie is about a political consultant who has an adolescent daughter who is very curious of his past. He has the idea to give her all she could want and more by telling her every little detail of his previous girlfriends.
At first I couldn't believe he was telling her all these things but with what she was learning at school, it would be better coming from him, I guess.
A movie like this sadly makes me realize that Reynolds can shine, but in more action-packed roles. He does have the comedies in him ie. (Waiting) but the romantic side tends to drag on and bog down the enjoyment as in " Just Friends".
This is an interesting journey about life, love and one's past. Even making you look at your past life and who may crop up in the future.
Have you had a lost love? Would you have the guts to put yourself on the line for a chance at a happy ending, no regrets?
This movie asks questions if you listen and that is why Ryan Reynolds took this script I am sure, you cannot tell what the end will be, which is a great thing.
Look for a posting for a Top Choice actress in Annie Parisse, who sparkles in these small but noticeable parts.
